The fifth Asia-Pacific edition of the Sustainable Cosmetics Summit will take place in Hong Kong on 14-15th October 2016. The summit will discuss the future of ethical labels, green ingredients, sustainable packaging, and marketing developments.
The number of ethical labels is mushrooming in the cosmetics industry. Natural and organic are the most established, however new ones are emerging that represent some ethical, health and / or environmental aspects: Halal, Non-GMO, Fairtrade, Vegan, Gluten-free, etc. A dedicated workshop will discuss recent developments, adoption issues, as well as give future projections. What labels are showing most growth, and what are the opportunities for Asian brands?
Organized by Organic Monitor, the aim of the Sustainable Cosmetics Summit is to encourage sustainability in the beauty industry by bringing together key stakeholders on a regular basis at international locations and debate major sustainability issues in a high-level forum. Each summit brings together decision makers in the beauty industry, including cosmetic manufacturers, ingredient & raw material suppliers, retailers & distributors, industry organizations & certification agencies, researchers & academics, investors, etc.
