New Zealand’s newest natural health product and dietary supplement development and contract manufacturing company has a unique point of difference.

While a number of contract-oriented companies can either develop products, manufacture or market them, Pharma NZ is one of a few who can look after all aspects of a product’s lifecycle – from concept to shelf.

“We are a one-stop shop for the natural health products industry – nobody else is offering this type of end-to-end service including total brand creative development at the front end, and after-sales market assistance” says the company’s Technical Director, Peter Lehrke.

Peter is well-known in the industry, having more than 30 years’ experience in the pharmaceutical and natural health products sectors, including 15 years on Natural Health Products NZ’s Board.

He says Pharma NZ’s services are ideal for any companies wanting high-quality standards, reliable service and continuity of supply.  Pharma NZ has been structured to service both scales of the industry: start-ups and small companies that lack the internal resource to directly manage every aspect of their products’ lifecycles, as well as big brands looking for a more economic option at scale.

It is still early days for Frankton (Hamilton)-based Pharma NZ, having only recently opened its doors for business, but the company has big plans.

Initially it is only offering product development services but shortly will be expanding into food and nutraceutical powders, hard shell capsules and tablet manufacturing and packing.  The company gained GMP-grade manufacturing certification in July 2020.

“We may be starting small, but we have big plans,” says Peter. “Our aim is to become a leading contract manufacturer, and trusted source to the world’s health supplement brands.”
