MOH Update: Extension to Deadline for Permitted Substances List

MOH long logo

The Ministry has been approached by several companies and potential notifiers to extend the date for requests to the Permitted Substances List (PSL) and the draft list of conditions.

The deadline was for 31 May 2016. The original cut-off was set with the expectation that the Natural Health Products Bill would be in place by June 2016. It is clear that a June date is unlikely at this stage, and so the next expected date for implementation is November 2016 (which is the date given in the SOP version of the Bill).

Therefore, we will continue to accept requests of ingredients for inclusion on the PSL and the draft list of conditions, free of charge, until 31 October 2016.

Please note that there cannot be any further extension to this date (which also corresponds to a year since the PSL and draft list of conditions opened for requests) and that there is no guarantee that your substance or condition will be placed on the lists by the time the regime comes into effect, although this is the goal. However, if it is not and you requested before 31 October, then it will still be considered for inclusion.

All requests and queries can be directed to [email protected].

Thanks,
